THE TOPIC AND GUIDELINES

The project topic is:

“Propose developments in African competition law and how the IBA can assist and advise both regulators and practitioners to ensure best practice and compliance with International Competition Network (ICN) standards. Cover national as well as the regional regulators (eg. COMESA, the East African Community, ECOWAS and CEMAC).

Discuss the significance of the above topic and why it should be addressed by the Forum. Provide legitimate supporting materials for your claim.

Elaborate thoroughly how the Forum can implement it by utilising the time and resources of its individual Officers and Members. Do not consider the availability of funding.

The proposed project should increase the visibility of the Forum within the IBA and the global legal community.

Word limit: 2,500-2,800 words

The word limit does not include footnotes or the bibliography. It also excludes appendices (which should only be used for supporting/evidential material, not project proposal content).
