Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange – Youth, Peace and Security Interactive Open Online Course

Application Deadline: April 5th 2020

The world today is seeing the largest ever youth population. This generation is proving to be active agents of conflict transformation and peace building. The roles and power of young people to contribute to positive social change are being recognized from governments, to researchers and civil society.

This interactive course provides the unique chance to exchange perspectives and experiences with your peers from diverse countries and cultural backgrounds. Stimulated by original expert materials developed jointly by UNOY and Search for Common Ground, you will be introduced to core concepts of violence, conflict and peace.

Address questions like, is peace possible? What forms does violence take? What is the Youth, Peace and Security
agenda? What tools are used in conflict transformation?

Requirements

This interactive online course is open to individuals between the age of 18-30. In addition, applicants should
reside in, or hold the nationality of one of the Erasmus+ programme countries or Southern Mediterranean countries.
Participation is free of charge.

Interactive Open Online Courses

Interactive Open Online Courses provide youth with the opportunity to learn both with and from their peers across
cultural contexts and national boundaries in facilitated online meetings alongside relevant skill-building activities and dynamic content provided by expert academics and practitioners.

These courses combine the deep impact of intercultural exchange with the broad reach of online learning to allow more young people to have meaningful intercultural learning experiences as part of their formal or non-formal education.
